Experimental Design Overview
Samples of rock or metal are first sealed in precious metal tubing along with a fluid of interest (e.g., water or brine).

The capsules are equilibrated at a temperatures between 300 and 700°C and pressures of <3000 bar (<43.5 kpsi) in experimental vessels. The exact conditions are tailored to the client's needs.

Following the experiments, rock or metal sample material is analyzed for chemical, mineralogical, and/or structural changes, depending on the client's needs. Fluids can also be analyzed for chemical changes.
